Goodbye Eternity is a 2D adult sandbox about Saito, a lonely man whose life ends with one final wish: the chance to do it differently. He awakens in his younger body with his memories intact, returning to a time when the choices that shaped his future have not yet been made. With familiar people around him and an entire city open to explore, Saito can rebuild his health, find work, confront old regrets, and discover how much one changed decision can alter the lives connected to his own.

The game combines visual-novel storytelling with a free-roam city structure. Each day is divided into morning, afternoon, evening, and night, and characters or events may only appear at certain places and times. Early objectives introduce the rhythm naturally: train in the park, earn money at the restaurant, improve Saito's ability to defend himself, and gradually unlock more destinations. A quest log records useful character, location, and timing clues, so exploration has direction without turning every objective into a waypoint.

Most of the tension comes from deciding what Saito should do with knowledge nobody else possesses. Conversations can strengthen a relationship, expose a different side of someone, or quietly close off an opportunity that will not return. The story leaves room for romance and adult content, but it also spends time on insecurity, family pressure, money, self-improvement, and the temptation to use a second chance selfishly. Several character stories can be active together, encouraging multiple saves and careful attention to dialogue rather than blind completion.

Goodbye Eternity stands apart from many adult sandboxes through its illustrated 2D presentation. Expressive character art, CG scenes, and Spine-based animation give the cast a more animated presence, while unlockable galleries collect artwork, sprites, backgrounds, and music discovered during play. The project remains in development, so the current browser version offers an expanding story rather than a finished final chapter.

How to Play: Press Play to launch the browser version. Complete the opening objectives, select destinations from the city map, monitor the current time period, and consult the quest log whenever the next step is unclear. Keep more than one save if you want to explore different decisions without replacing your preferred progress.
