Abnormal is a character-driven, slow-burn visual novel that you can play instantly in your browser on PC and mobile. You play as Stephanie, a tomboy on the cusp of high school graduation who must navigate her evolving identity, her complicated relationship with her former bully, and her burgeoning exhibitionist desires. The game focuses on realistic psychology and self-discovery rather than standard adult game gimmicks.
The game allows you to shape Stephanie's sexuality along a bisexual, lesbian, or heterosexual gradient. While male elements and characters are present in her journey, players can lean heavily into lesbian paths with her friends and rivals. Note that the game features unconventional sexual content—specifically, traditional vaginal sex is off the table, tying directly into the "abnormal" title.
Created as an amateur learning exercise, the game is still early in development. The 3D art uses Honey Select; while early renders and animations are awkward, they steadily improve, and the characters uniquely avoid generic "same-face" syndrome. Be aware of controversial later updates where the developer gave the female cast pixie cuts, which may not appeal to everyone, and expect a very slow build-up with little sex early on. If you enjoy deep writing over quick gratification, this is a unique gem.
