Deliverance is a completed adult mystery visual novel about a veteran police detective whose reputation was built on solving crimes, exposing mysteries, and catching people everyone else failed to stop. Then one failure changes everything. With his old life slipping away and questions from his past beginning to resurface, the protagonist has to find a new purpose while investigating a story that gradually moves beyond ordinary police work. The central hook is not simply discovering who is responsible, but deciding what kind of man the detective becomes while doing it. Choices matter heavily to the tone of the story. The protagonist can approach the people he meets as a gentleman, manipulate situations for personal gain, or move somewhere between those extremes. The game repeatedly frames decisions around whether you want to become a hero or a villain, while relationships and adult encounters develop around those choices. Katherine, the detective's wife, receives one of the more unusual branching systems: her storyline can remain on a private couple-focused path or move into an optional sharing route. The developer specifically notes that the sharing content is avoidable and that the two branches were intended to receive roughly equal attention rather than using one route as punishment for choosing the other.

Deliverance is structured as a long chapter-based visual novel rather than a sandbox. Later chapters grew substantially in size: Chapter 11 contains around 1,100 renders and 54 animations, Chapter 13 around 1,100 renders and 41 animations, Chapter 15 reaches roughly 1,300 renders and 52 animations, and the Final release adds another 1,240 renders with 35 animations. Earlier chapters were also revamped, with replayable CG scenes added to the gallery and older renders reworked. A relationships menu, rollback, autosaves, additional save pages, music, and interface revisions were introduced as development continued.

The adult side covers a broad mix of routes rather than one single fetish. Depending on your decisions, the game includes romance, cheating initiated by the player, voyeurism, optional sharing, threesomes, lesbian content, exhibitionism, and darker supernatural elements. Importantly, the developer describes the cheating and sharing choices as optional branches rather than unavoidable punishment mechanics, so players who prefer the detective's relationship with Katherine to remain exclusive can stay on that path.
