Being Super begins with a routine hospital visit for a 21-year-old man from Quiettown, but the appointment exposes a history that has been hidden since his birth. A meteor shower nearly killed him as an infant, years of medication kept its effects under control, and his absent father was not the man he had imagined. When new abilities emerge, he learns that his father was an alien super-villain - and that inheriting his power does not require inheriting his purpose.

The central choice is whether to protect people, exploit them, or move between those extremes when circumstances change. Being Super uses dialogue and relationship decisions to shape that moral direction. You can select a light- or dark-skinned protagonist, build connections with characters such as Ruby, Nikki, Anna, and Taylor, and unlock different scenes depending on loyalty, attraction, and how openly you embrace your abilities.

The superhero premise expands beyond a simple origin story. A portal begins releasing powerful visitors from other universes, introducing allies, threats, and figures who may feel familiar to comic-book fans. At the same time, the protagonist must deal with family secrets and the practical consequences of suddenly becoming dangerous. This combination gives the story two useful scales: personal relationships still matter, but each decision also contributes to the kind of public figure the protagonist may become.

The game is a 3D Ren'Py visual novel, so progress comes primarily through reading and making choices rather than reflex-based combat. A gallery records unlocked scenes, while alternate routes reward replaying important decisions. The current Chapter 1 build remains in development, but it already establishes the origin, cast, moral split, and wider multiverse conflict clearly enough to make different play styles feel intentional.
