Tails on the Rocks follows a college dropout whose years behind the counter finally lead to a bar of his own. His boss recommends him for an opportunity across the country, in a quiet seaside town with a mostly anthro population. Settling in means keeping the business afloat and meeting the women who could give him a reason to stay.

The relationships are the nicest part of that routine. The cast has distinct personalities, from a reserved, analytical cat to an older fox dealing with her own relationship troubles. Their stories give the protagonist time to grow closer without making every conversation a major drama. Koikatsu character models and animated scenes support the relaxed atmosphere, while dates and gifts help move each relationship forward.

The sandbox is easy to understand, with in-game guidance available when progression becomes unclear. Running the bar mostly involves upgrades and managing numbers, though repeating affection actions can become tedious before the next event arrives. The anthro designs also have a particular look that may take some getting used to. For players who enjoy an ordinary working life with a furry romance twist, the quieter conversations give this little town much of its charm.
