Over The Moon
Over the Moon picks up two years after A Moment of Bliss, in a future where memories can be transferred into androids and virtual reality glasses make remote interaction commonplace. Moon is an aspiring music star, and her manager wants her father to write songs for the television show Madds Medusa. Working together means spending a week with a daughter who wants very little to do with him.
Moon gives that uncomfortable reunion its strongest material. Her resentment sits alongside professional pressure and a love of music, making her more interesting than a character who is simply difficult for the sake of conflict. Detailed 3D renders and animated sequences support the presentation. The game also returns to earlier characters and unresolved developments as the third part of The Rose Garden Trilogy.
The conclusion has drawn more criticism than the setup. Several players feel that Moon's development accelerates too quickly near the end, while supporting stories receive less closure than their buildup deserves. Choices offer some control over encounters, but the main narrative remains largely linear. Readers invested in the earlier games have reasons to return, though the finale may leave them wishing the reconciliation and wider story had more time to breathe.
