The Princess and the Tower
The Princess and the Tower places an unlikely goblin hero inside a strange tower and asks him to find a way out while dealing with the princess who dominates life within its walls. She is eccentric, demanding, and central to nearly every part of the adventure. Escaping is not a matter of walking to the nearest door: the goblin must investigate rooms, complete quests, obtain keys, and learn how the tower's inhabitants and secrets fit together.
Unlike a purely linear visual novel, this completed Ren'Py game combines story scenes with point-and-click exploration and light sandbox progression. Players move between locations, examine available activities, and unlock new events by completing objectives. Dungeon areas, captives, special items, and the Goblin King quest give the campaign a stronger sense of progression than a simple chain of dialogue choices.
The princess and the goblin provide the central comic tension. Their unequal partnership can be playful, frustrating, and increasingly complicated as corruption and training elements develop. Fantasy characters and absurd situations keep the tone from becoming too serious, while the quest structure gives players a reason to pay attention to where they have been and what remains unresolved.
Version 0.9c is the completed-game bugfix release. It includes the full storyline and offers an act-jump option for players who need to return to later content, although following the adventure from the beginning gives the quests and character changes more context. If progress stalls, revisit unlocked rooms, check incomplete objectives, and keep saves before using important keys or committing to major sequences.
