Agent Sherine
Agent Sherine: Dancing Fox follows Sherine Hale, a CIA operative sent to get close to a wealthy Russian oligarch and install spy software on his home network. The mission draws her into a world of oil money, suspicious business contacts, and situations where charm can be as useful as deduction. The opening has the makings of a stylish undercover thriller.
The presentation is unusually cinematic for a Ren'Py game. Scenes are animated and voiced using AI, with expressive character work and a Movie Mode that lets the story play more like a film. Sherine is a capable lead, and her discomfort with some of the methods available to her gives the mission a personal tension. The developer is open about the game's heavy use of AI.
That ambitious presentation is uneven. Voices and movement can look convincing in one scene and awkward in the next, while some players report low resolution or interface bugs. The story also takes turns away from the spy mission that may disappoint anyone hoping for a focused agent adventure. Choices appear throughout, but players disagree on how much they change the larger plot. This is best approached as an experimental, mostly guided thriller with impressive moments and some rough ones.
