Bastard Chronicles: The Shipwreck
At 25, the protagonist has spent most of his life alone on a tropical island. Then a storm wrecks a boat and brings a group of women to his shore. In Bastard Chronicles: The Shipwreck, the newcomers need his help to survive, while he finally has people who might help him uncover the island’s secrets and escape.
The island is a refreshing place to set an adult VN, and the women have distinct looks and personalities. There are small moments of interaction, including gathering food, alongside the story and its adult scenes. The mature love interest has made a particularly strong impression on players.
The current version moves through some relationships and early survival days rather quickly. It also opens into a light sandbox that can make finding the next event feel like extra work, while choices have limited effect so far. There is a good premise here, but the story needs more time with its cast to make the shipwreck feel as consequential as it should.
