Call of Nature follows a young man leaving the mountains where he has spent his entire life. A welcoming household gives him a new home while he attends an academy, but settling into the city brings more trouble than he expected. Rivalries and unfamiliar powers complicate his studies, while new relationships test the principles he grew up with.

The Koikatsu presentation is the clearest draw. The cast includes fuller body types than many games using the same tools, and the animated scenes have attracted praise for their detail and variety. The story follows paths toward goodness or corruption, with a morality point system influencing access to certain encounters. A walkthrough helps with decisions, and the gallery makes scenes convenient to revisit.

The writing is less consistent. Academy conflicts sometimes depend on questionable motives, and the protagonist's repeated setbacks can make his sudden romantic success difficult to believe. English spelling and grammar also need more attention, while some point changes aren't especially intuitive. Players who enjoy anime fantasy with frequent adult scenes may still find the visuals worth their time, but the familiar newcomer story needs more convincing character behavior to match them.
