Between is a massive, story-driven JRPG that you can play instantly in your browser on PC and mobile. Drawing heavy inspiration from titles like Persona, Xenoblade, and Final Fantasy XIV, you are thrown into a mysterious realm controlled by god-like entities known as "Wills." As you explore uniquely themed dungeons called Oases, your party is subjected to a variety of physical transformations—ranging from becoming fantasy heroes and catgirls to full-on gender-bending (TG) changes.

Unlike many adult games in this genre, the transformation themes are handled with surprising narrative nuance rather than just being superficial gags. The game boasts a robust class system instead of traditional leveling, meaning there is zero mindless grinding required. Battles are highly strategic, with bosses utilizing MMO-style puzzle mechanics that require careful planning and party synergy.

Because the game is still actively in development, it does have a few rough edges. The early hours are heavily front-loaded with verbose exposition and long dialogue boxes, and navigating through random mob encounters can sometimes feel a bit tedious. Additionally, the adult elements and erotic scenes are relatively sparse and mostly text-based. However, if you have the patience for a slow-burn mystery with incredible character development, this is easily one of the most ambitious and well-written RPG Maker games out there.
