Set in a mythological world closely resembling ancient Greece, you play as Alexis, a young protagonist who wakes up in unfamiliar surroundings and is thrust into a strange, whimsical trial overseen by a god. It’s up to you to decide how far Alexis will go to pass the ordeal and shape their ultimate destiny.

The game shines in its exceptional, high-quality writing and deep branching narrative. Unlike many games in the genre, choices feel meaningful without forcing you into a constant loop of saving and reloading. Interestingly, the game offers two distinct flavors based on gender: playing as a male provides a heavily dominant, heterosexual "giga-chad" experience, while drinking an optional potion early on transforms you into a female, shifting the game into a more submissive, victimization-heavy, and predominantly lesbian narrative.

As a title still in active development, it’s worth noting that Paths is entirely text-based. It features absolutely zero visual art or AI assets, relying completely on vivid descriptions and a built-in glossary for Greek terminology. While the lack of graphics and occasional formatting quirks (like blending dialogue) might turn off visual novel purists, the rich world-building, map system, and variety of fetishes (including incest and impregnation) make it a fantastic read for interactive fiction fans.
