QPrey 2: House Arrest
QPrey 2: House Arrest picks up after Escape from the Lake, and Tom and Claudia's troubles are clearly far from over. Accused of a crime they didn't commit, they're confined to a familiar house under the eye of someone even more dangerous. Tom also has an unexpected new ability, which might help him uncover the truth and protect the people he cares about. You can follow the sequel directly in your browser on PC and mobile.
Claudia is a big part of the appeal here. If her connection with Tom kept you interested in the first game, there's an obvious reason to come back, now with more characters and a mystery that starts bringing supernatural elements into the mix. The 3D character work and animated scenes are another draw, especially if you like heavily stylized designs. Playing the original first makes more sense than jumping into the middle of their problems.
The catch is that you're mostly along for the ride. Choices are limited, and the house-arrest setup asks you to accept some questionable logic. The sequel also revisits Tom and Claudia's relationship in ways that may frustrate players who expected it to carry forward smoothly. Development is ongoing, and reactions to the visuals vary, but the familiar leads and strange new powers give returning fans something to be curious about.
